Re: Tom Senior what have I got? It is a TS 'Light Vertical' that has been 'pimped' (but done well if the engineering matches up to the exterior views)! There should be a serial number often stamped into front of the column. I don't recall if the Light Verticals were included in the 4 digit number series of the M1's.

The problem with vertical milling on the TS using the knuckle head is you have very little room under the tool, not much travel in the zaxis. I might get pulled up on this, but horizontal milling is like using a shaper, consigned to history.
